COMMCRS Authorization failed, network error

Goal

Getting the following errors:

[ OCRSRV][1220598112]th_select_answer: Failure in answer. clsc ret [3]
[ COMMCRS][1220598112]Authorization failed, network error

Solution

This is normal as there is a resource that have been created with a user which does not have the privilege to write/read to $ORA_CRS_HOME/crs/auth directory.

It is possible to ignore it or to check which resource is doing that.

CRSD.LOG SHOWS TH_SELECT_ANSWER: FAILURE IN ANSWER. Symptoms The following messages are seen in the crsd.log files repeatedly every couple of hours: 2009-11-21 16:20:18.422: [ COMMCRS][1283537248]Authorization failed, network error 2009-11-21 16:20:18.422: [ OCRSRV][1283537248]th_select_answer: Failure in answer. clsc ret [3] Cause The problem is with the client( such as ocrdump, srvctl, ocrconfig ) in the 'Authorization failed, network error' message. When the client connection fails during authentication for some reasons, this message is generated, This failure could be a client process failure, or it could be a mistaken(abnormal) connection closure; most likely it is a process failure in client side, not Oracle CRS stack Solution If we do not see any resource on CRS stack "OFFLINE" from the output of "crs_stat -t", this message is harmless and can be ignored.
