Symptoms
The following errors appear when trying to start the 11.2 database
ORA-00439: feature not enabled: Server Flash Cache
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters

Changes
Trying to implement Database Smart Flash Cache feature by changing the following initialization parameters:
db_flash_cache_file
db_flash_cache_size
db_flash_cache_file
db_flash_cache_size
Cause
Trying to use this feature on an incompatible operating system or the database is not Enterprise edition
Solution
The Flash Cache feature is only available for the following operating systems and DB edition:
1. Oracle Solaris
2. Oracle Enterprise Linux
1. Oracle Solaris
2. Oracle Enterprise Linux
- Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition
Trying to use the feature on any other platform like Redhat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Standard edition will cause this error to appear while starting the database.
